Annual Actions.
Environment
• Implement a river watch / clean-up scheme to raise awareness of pollution problems including dumping of rubbish and knotweed growth.
• Involve residents and local groups in the process of general litter clearance.
• Improve the general condition of the Public Footpaths within the Community.
• Improve signposting of the Public Footpaths.
Highways
• Alert the Highways Authority to concerns over blind bends.
• Consult with the Highways Authority concerning introducing lower speed limits and calming measures for vehicles in the village.
• Lobby the Highways Authority about the need to resurface and widen certain roads, provide more passing places, and maintain verges and hedges.
• Lobby the Highways Authority about the need to ensure that future planning applications include the provision of pavements.
Information / Communication.
• Improve local information sharing by greater use of the website.
• Encourage local people to contribute memories and photographs to maintain a record of the past.
• Encourage local people to record their memories and experiences on the Facebook group.
• Advertise local events and activities in conjunction with local B & B’s and Guest Houses.
Utilities and Services.
• Consult with the Police to ensure a greater presence in the Community.
• Consult with BT to bring high-speed broad band to the rural community outside the village.

Medium Term Actions
• Discuss with adjoining Communities the idea of a community bus service to supplement the existing service, especially centred on the need of less mobile people.
• Explore the feasibility of developing a small-scale light industrial workshop in the village.
• Explore the possibility of extending the meals on wheels, voluntary caring and home help services.
• Consider grants or raising funds to provide / improve a central meeting place for Community activities, organisations, and groups.
• Consider grants to raise funds to improve the children’s playground facilities within the Community.
• Seek to improve the provision of facilities for all age groups in the community.
• Consider organising an increased number of social events.
On Going
• Consult with the Planning Authority with regard to the nature, scale, and location of any proposed housing developments within the Community. Make the Authority aware of the preference for housing for local people and the preference for infilling with single buildings.
• Consider applying for grants to enable the provision of more litter bins throughout the Community.
• Encourage recycling within the Community.
• Consider applying for grants to provide benches and flowerbeds in the Community.
• Monitor any proposed tourism developments to ensure they are suitable to the locality and encourage appropriate ventures.
• Seek to maintain the character and appearance of the village.
• Encourage people to preserve established natural features, especially trees and hedgerows.
• Maintain pressure and continually review actions regarding the upkeep of Highways.
• Support the status and use of the Welsh Language in the everyday life of the villages within the Community. Encourage and support those wishing to learn.
• Encourage local agriculture and support Local producers.
• This Action Plan is to be reviewed every 2 years. Revised June 2024
