Llanfynydd’s Dewi Grifiths has been nominated for the European Athlete of the month for October.
The 21-year-old is one of 14 contenders shortlisted by a panel of experts. The former Carmarthen Harrier has been in outstanding form over the road and at cross country.
He became Welsh Half Marathon Champion courtesy of his run in Cardiff at the start of the month, followed up by victory in the first race of the McCain Cross Challenge series in Bristol.
Griffiths will be part of the Great Britain team competing at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships on 9th December where he will be one of the favourites in the under-23 race.
